Christmas Books

We only bought a few Christmas Books this year, but plan on adding more to this list as the years go on. The pictures and descriptions below are from Amazon. Our favorites this year are:

"A touchy-feely board book with simple, repetitive text, tactile patches and bold illustrations suitable for babies and toddlers. A little, white mouse appears on every page, for children to spot."

That's not my Snowman: Easton and Connor both love the touch and feel books. Click here to purchase online.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year! Little Blue Truck is spreading cheer by delivering Christmas trees to his animal friends. Can you help count each green tree from one to five and back again? Don’t forget to save one for Blue! Beep! Beep!"

Little Blue Truck's Christmas: We LOVE all of the 'Little Blue Truck' books at our house. The original book has always been one of Easton's favorites, so I knew I had to buy the Christmas version when I saw it. It reviews numbers 1-5 and the last page has a Christmas tree with lights that really light up and flash. Click here to purchase online.

"It is the night before Christmas . . . in a house so cozy and colorful that only the beloved Mary Engelbreit could have created it. Not a creature is stirring. Then there's the jingle of bells. . . .

For this merry holiday celebration, every page is filled with bewitching details, rich color, and memorable characters. A bevy of mischievous elves, an adorable mouse, and a jolly, bespectacled Santa await. Make Mary's joyous vision a part of your special Christmas!"

The Night Before Christmas: This is a traditional book everyone must own. I love this version, because of the brightly colored illustrations. Mary Engelbreit has always been one of my mom's favorites. Easton and Connor both love the details and bright colors in this book. Click here to purchase online.

"Here is the story of the Nativity told in 200 words that are simple enough for a toddler to understand. From the Annunciation by the angel through Jesus's birth, the angels' appearance to the shepherds, and the journey of the wise men, the Christmas story is presented in its most traditional form. Vibrant new illustrations are paired with classic text to bridge the connection between the biblical story of Jesus's birth and today's Christmas celebration. This book is unsurpassed as an introduction to the significance of the Christmas holiday. Ages 2-5."

The Story of Christmas: I love how simply this book tells the story of Christ's Birth. It's perfect for toddlers and Easton has really enjoyed reading it this season. Click here to purchase online.
