Applesauce Muffins
These applesauce muffins are so good! We love them fresh out of the oven, dipped in melted butter followed by cinnamon sugar. Rating: 10/10
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup applesauce
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1) Cream shortening and sugar. Stir in eggs and applesauce. Blend in flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. (I do all of this in my kitchen aid).
2) Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
We dip the tops in melted butter followed by cinnamon sugar, but they are also good with butter and jam.
