1) Ball in the Hole Alphabet Game : I found a similar idea on  Mom Inspired Life . Paper Towel Rolls Tape 26 Balls (bouncy balls or ping pong balls) Permanent Marker Write letter A-Z on your balls.  Tape paper towel rolls onto the wall, to create a ball run.  Have your child pick a ball from a basket, identify the letter and drop it down the hole.  2)  Letter H Book  from The Measured Mom: I printed this book from the Measured Mom blog. It has eight simple pictures - one side has a Letter H and the other side has a picture (see below). Easton enjoys these little books. Below is a sample page. 3) Handprint Art (Hen) : After reading "Hungry Hen", we made a Red Handprint Hen. I tried to help Easton draw feet and a beak, but next time I'll probably cut out feet and a beak from orange paper and have him glue them on. 4) Letter H Music Time: Easton loved watching renditions of all these songs on Youtube.  Humpty Dumpty: Hold up these Humpty Dum

1) Build Humpty Dumpty's Wall  from Preschool Alphabet: Building Blocks Raw Eggs - Optional: Draw faces on the eggs to resemble Humpty Cookie Sheet or Container Build a high wall from building blocks - build the wall over a cookie sheet or some sort of container to catch poor Humpty. Count the blocks as you go. Watch the difference between Humpty cracking from a short wall and tall wall.  Sing Humpty Dumpty (from our Letter H Music Time) and when you say "Humpty Dumpty had a great fall", let your child roll Humpty off the wall. Animal Habitats Around the World from Christy Waters: Match animals to their correct habitats. There are twenty-seven animals and four habitats - talk about the animals/habitats and where they would be best suited.  Animal Homes Match  from Kidzclub: Match animals to their home. There are seven animals and seven homes to match. Melissa & Doug Re-usable Habitat Sticker Pad : Match re-usable animal stickers to their habitat page. Animal Homes Match 3) Shaving Cream Block House from Busy Toddler: Use foam blocks and shaving cream to build houses. I may add toy animals to this sensory activity. 

1) Letter H Heart Stamping : You'll need: Write or print a  Block Letter H  on a piece of white card stock. Heart Stamps   Option: Stamp heart cookie cutters or a toilet paper roll formed into a heart shape. 2)  Tie Dye Hearts  from Meaningful Mama: Easton loved spraying the squirt bottle for this craft!  White coffee filter Washable markers  Squirt bottle Have your child use washable markers to color the coffee filter. Spray the coffee filter with water until it's completely wet and the colors bleed together. Place the coffee filter in a place to dry. Once dry, cut out a heart shape and hang on the window.  Optional: Draw a letter H in the middle. 3) Heart Number Match : Cut out 8 red hearts and 8 pink hearts from construction paper.  On the red hearts, write numbers 1-8 and placed them on a cookie sheet.  On the pink hearts, draw 1-8 dots and hide them in the room for your child to find.  When your child finds a pink heart, count the do

Aside from the craft, I'll put the activities in plastic baggies for Easton to choose from. Hippo Cut & Paste : Option: Paint the background and let it dry before gluing the hippo on.  Hippo Size Sorting: Compare two cards - which one is bigger, which one is smaller? Add a third card and talk about their sizes. Help your child put them in order from smallest to biggest. Review colors as you go! Hippo Push Pin Activity: Print the hippo below and draw a dotted Letter H in the middle with a black marker. Have your child poke holes in the letter H with a pushpin (or toothipick!). 1) Planting a Flower Garden Alphabet Review  from Mom Inspired Life: Foam Flower Stickers  (leave the backs on) Green Craft Sticks Green Play Dough Flower Pots - I will use bowls (4 oz. in each bowl) Write a letter on each of the flowers with a permanent marker. Glue the flowers onto green craft sticks (glue gun is the fastest) Place the play dough in each bowl.  Let your kids explore. Yellow and Brown Construction Paper Small Marshmallows Brown Paint Draw a large letter G on a piece of yellow paper. Let your child dip a marsh mallow in brown paint and stamp it onto a letter G. Once the paint dries, cut out the letter G and glue onto a piece of brown paper.  Hang on fridge and admire your child's work all week! 2)  Giraffe Salt Painting  from Toddler Approved: giraffe template  (or you can draw a giraffe on paper) Elmer's Glue Salt Liquid Water Colors (or food coloring) mixed with water Pipette OR medicine dropper Help your child squeeze large drops of glue to create spots on your giraffe.  Sprinkle salt all over the glue and wait for the glue to mostly dry. Farm Magnets : We used these on our refrigerator, but you could also use a magnetic cookies sheet. Here are some ideas to do with these magnets: Name all the items and talk about the animal sounds. A lot of Pretend Play. Sing Old MacDonald while placing an animal on the fridge. Form the Letter F with the animals. Sort the animals (big & small, wings & no wings, white & colored, etc.) Count the animals (ie: how many animals are by the barn?"
