We are trying to recover from our  Saint Patrick's Day  activities last week! Easter in March threw me a curve ball this year. We spent most of our morning time on  A Week of Easter  this year, focusing on Jesus Christ and His resurrection. However, I just couldn't let Easter pass without doing a few bunny or egg activities, even if they were a week late. Here are some options below - one craft and one activity per day: Option One : 1) Craft: Paper Bag Shape Bunny . This is a darling craft and also reviews a few shapes - ovals (ears), circles (eyes/ nose/paws), heart (nose/mouth area), rectangles (whiskers), and domes (feet). You'll need a paper bag and some time to cut out the shapes shown in picture one. Easton and I reviewed the shapes together before gluing them onto our paper bag. 2) Activity: Feed the Bunny . I love this activity for so many different reasons. First, because it includes the craft we made earlier in the day, but mostly because of the va...

Egg Hunt Ideas

Glowing Egg Hunt : All you need for this egg hunt are large plastic eggs and bracelet glow sticks - which can both be bought at the dollar store. The smaller the glow stick the better. I had a little bit of a hard time folding my glow sticks enough to fit inside the eggs. I had to tape a few eggs shut, but it did the trick. My three LOVED this activity. We did our glowing egg hunt indoors, but it would be fun to do outdoors if the weather was nice enough. After finding all the glowing eggs, add them in the tub for another fun activity! Flashlight Egg Hunt : If you don't have the time to buy glow sticks, hide Easter eggs around the house or yard and use a flashlight to find the eggs! The picture below is from a google website. Easter Egg Lunch Hunt  from Glue Sticks:  Puzzle Egg Hunt . Place puzzle pieces inside of the eggs. Find the eggs and put the puzzle together. You could make this religious. EASTER SCIENCE. I found so many fun Easter Science ideas from Little Bins for Little Hands. A few of them we've done in the past - including the oobleck, slime and egg eruptions. My boys loved them. Easter Oobleck . You can add so many different Easter themed items into Oobleck. Easter eggs, easter themed cookie cutters, stretchy bunnies, slinkies (one of our favorites!), etc. Photo Credit: Little Bins for Little Hands Easter Egg Slime . Little Bins for Little Hands is the best website to find tested and GOOD slime recipes. There are a bunch of different versions to make - foam slime ,   fluffy slime , liquid starch, borax OR saline slime . Surprise Egg Eruptions . Mix baking soda and water together to form an egg and hide a little plastic toy inside. Dry the eggs overnight. Have your children drop the eggs in different colored vinegar to reveal a surprise. Super fun and bubbly! Photo Credit: Little Bins for Little Hands Plastic Egg Races . This would be f...
