**Other Baptismal Lessons:  Kit Kat Baptismal Covenants ,  here (includes covenants with pictures) and here (includes baptism jeopardy).  Prayer: Scripture - John 3:5. Today we will be learning about a new Book of Mormon hero,  Alma . We'll learn about his story and how he helped teach people about Jesus and baptized them. Here's what our week looked like for Letter E:  Read, Read, Read . I love reading to my kids on a daily basis. My three has always loved being read to, but my one is pretty hit and miss. Most days, I'll read to both of them while they're eating breakfast. I checked out our  Letter E Booklist  at the library a week in advance. The picture above were our very favorite books, but you view more great Letter D books by clicking on the booklist link. Read Letter E Book . We also love to read these  Little Letter Books  from The Measured Mom. There are only eight or so pictures in each booklet. I pointed out the uppercase and lowercase D's (since we are focusing on both this year) and we talked about the pictures.  Letter E Songs & Rhymes . This year, I'm putting together an interactive set of songs & rhymes for each letter of the alphabet. I know this series is focused on my almost three, but my one year old had so

1) One Elephant Went Out to Play. Print a set of elephant finger puppets from The Measured Mom. Use them to sing the song below. Put them on your own hand and then give your child a turn. We love making elephant toothpaste! My two loved watching the "toothpaste" ooze out of our water bottle. The reaction produces heat, so it's normal for the foam to feel warm. My two couldn't wait to touch the foam and play with our toy elephants. He insisted on doing more and more colors, until we ran out of ingredients. Here's what you need: 1 teaspoon dry active yeast 2 tablespoons water 1/2 cup  Salon Care Clear Developer - 20 volume  (I bought ours for around $5 at a local beauty supply store. I always handled this, as it contains hydrogen peroxide). Dawn Dish Soap (do NOT use anti-bacterial) Funnel 15 oz. plastic water bottle, emptied Optional: food coloring, cookie sheet, toy elephants and scrubbers Here's what to do: In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of yeast and 2 tablespoons of warm water together. Mix well and set aside. In your water bottle, add 1/2 cup of the Salon Care Developer (I used a funnel for this part), any food colo
