Prayer:

Song: "I'm Trying to be like Jesus" - children's songbook page 78-79. We did the actions below as suggested in the manual:

Love one another as Jesus loves you (hug self and turn from side to side)
Try to show kindness in all that you do (nod head up and down)
Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought (hug self and turn from side to side)
For these are the things Jesus taught (nod head up and down)

"I Will Share" Activity: Heavenly Father and Jesus always want us to be kind to one another. One way that we can be kind is by sharing. I reminded Easton of a time he shared his toys with Connor. I told him how happy it makes Connor and mom/dad when he shares. It also makes Heavenly Father happy. Prior to the lesson, I put together a bag full of items to share during our lesson. I drew a smiley face on the bag as a reminder that it makes others happy when we share. I showed my boys the bag and pulled one item out at a time and said, "I will share _______ with you" and passed the item to one of my boys. Then, I let Easton have a turn pulling things out of the bag and repeating, "I will share _______ with you."

Pictures/Explanations: I showed my boys the picture below and we talked about sharing in both pictures. For the top picture, I explained how the girl on the left has a doll that she loves to play with; when her friend comes to play, the girl says, "I will share my doll with you." Point out that they are both happy. Invite the children to say, "I will share." For the bottom picture, I pointed to the boy on the right and told my boys how much he loves to play with his toys. When his friend comes to play, the boy says, "I will share my toys with you." Explain that now they are both happy. Invite children to say, "I will share."

Activity Verse: Easton loves songs, so we used the activity verse found in the manual. We went over the verse a few times:

I want to follow Jesus,
Be kind and loving too (hug self)
I'll share my smiles (point to mouth and smile)
I'll share my toys (pretend to give away a toy)
That's what he'd have me do

Coloring Page: I like having something to hang on our fridge as a reminder of our Family Home Evening lesson that week. I printed "We Share Coloring Page" from Twisty Noodle and let both my boys color together. Afterward, we hung the picture on the fridge.

Testimony: I reminded Easton of another time he shared with his brother/friends and reviewed how happy it makes others when we share. I bore my testimony of how happy and proud it makes Heavenly Father and Jesus.
