Letter E: Alphabet Egg Hunt, Letter E Book, Letter E Handprint Art (Elephant), Letter E Music Time (Day 1)

1) Alphabet Egg Hunt from Preschool Alphabet: My two loves any type of hunt, so I know he'll love this. You'll need:
  • Alphabet Page (link to come)
  • Matching Alphabet Tiles
  • Plastic Eggs
  1. Cut out the alphabet tiles and hide one letter inside each egg.
  2. Hide the eggs around the room.
  3. When your child finds an egg, have him match the letter tile to the same letter on the alphabet page.

2) Letter E Book from The Measured Mom: Read this short, eight page book together. Point out the letter E and talk about the pictures together.

3) Letter E Handprint Art (Elephant): This week we made an elephant! You'll need:
  • Washable grey paint (I mixed white and black paint together).
  • Paintbrush
  • Black Marker
  • White Paper
  1. Paint your child's hand grey and help him/her stamp it onto a piece of white paper.
  2. When the paint dries, draw on an eye, ear and let marks.
  3. Draw a big Letter E on the top and hang it on the fridge.

4) Letter E Songs & Rhymes from the Measured Mom: We read and sang through this printable set of songs and nursery rhymes. Our favorites were: One elephant went out to play; Eenie, meenie, miney, moe; E is for ears; and Elsie Marley. Click here to view a new, interactive way to sing these songs.
