Crepe Recipe!

Image
If you learn about France, you can't let the day go by without making crepes. This is the best crepe recipe I've found, from Chelsea's Messy Apron : Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add all ingredients into a blender: 2 and 1/2   cups   whole milk   4 eggs 2   cups   white all-purpose flour,   measure by spoon and level 1/4   cup   granulated white sugar (omit for savory crepes or you could use 1/8 maple syrup) 1/4   teaspoon   fine sea salt 4   tablespoons coconut oil (or butter), melted 2   teaspoons   pure vanilla extract Blend. Spray skillet with cookie spray. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan. Working quickly, tilt and swirl the crepe pan in a circular motion to evenly coat the bottom of the pan with the batter. Return skillet to the heat. Cook the crepe until the bottom is golden brown (1-2 minutes) and then flip the crepe to cook the other side. Serve with: Chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, nutella, bananas, strawberries, maple syrup, whipping cream, or jam.

Faith in Jesus Christ (Alma 32)

Image
Free Download:  Faith Grows We are learning about FAITH this week, and read Alma 32 when Alma compares faith to a seed. We are "experimenting" and sprouting our own lima beans at home. Talk about how we can grow our own faith in Jesus Christ (examples on the right side). Here's what to do: ① Soak Lima Beans in water over night. ② Dampen a paper towel and fold it into a quarter, so it fits into a sandwich sized zip lock bag. Place the paper towel inside the zip lock bag. Place three beans inside the baggie facing you (an inch apart from one another). Leave the bag open for air flow. ③ Staple "My Faith Grows" onto the top of the baggie. ④ Tape onto a window that will receive plenty of light. Note: By the next day, our little seeds had started to grow!

Directed Art vs. Process Art

If you want to teach your children  ART , it's important to understand two different types of art: Directed Art & Process Art. Both options provide educational learning, but the goal in mind is completely different.  (Click the Image Above to Download) ➤ What is Directed Art? • Teacher Directed • Step-by-Step • Follow Directions • All projects are similar • Focus: The Outcome ➤ How does Directed Art benefit children? • Following Directions • Listening Skills • Skills that translate to their own work ➤ Directed Art Options: 1.  Art Hub for Kids : Art lessons for free on Youtube.
