Ice Cream in a Bag! This was such a fun summer activity to do with my kids. Add some red and blue berries for a July Fourth treat!

•
Add to a sandwich sized (small) baggie:
1 cup half and half
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Remove air and zip closed. Double bag it (so salt doesn’t get into the ice cream when you open it) and set aside.
•
•
•
Add to a gallon sized (large) bag:
Ice (from an entire ice box)
1/4 cup rock salt
Zip closed and shake until combined.
•
•
•
Open up the large bag and place the small bag inside. Zip closed and shake for 5-8 minutes. The bag will be really cold, so put on some mittens or cover the bag with a dish towel while you shake. You can push at the ice-cream to feel when it thickens. Enjoy!
