Citrus Volcanoes!
As a part of our Geology Unit, we are learning about Volcanoes! We've done so many of the baking soda/vinegar reactions before, I wanted to do something different. I found this Citrus Volcano Idea on Little Bins for Little Hands and knew we had to try it. This activity is so hands on, full of learning skills (knife cutting, hand strength with squeezing fruit, science, exploring the five senses, and a wonderful way to expose children to fruit they may or may not have tried before - I never thought in my wildest dreams my six year old would try grapefruit). The more senses you include, the more we learn. This one is a must try activity!
