A lot of days, I'll read to both of them while they're eating breakfast. I checked out our  Letter B Booklist  at the library a week in advance. The picture above were our very favorite books, but you view more great Letter B books by clicking on the booklist link. Read Letter B Book . We also love to read these  Little Letter Books  from The Measured Mom. There are only eight or so pictures in each booklet. I pointed out the uppercase and lowercase B's (since we are focusing on both this year) and we talked about the pictures.  Letter B Songs & Rhymes . This year, I'm putting together an interactive set of songs & rhymes for each letter of the alphabet. I know this series is focused on my almost three, but my one year ...

1) Baa Baa Black Sheep: Make Black Sheep Sock Puppets: Cut out a body and two ears from black felt. Use hot glue to glue the felt pieces and googly eyes onto a sock. Have your child(ren) wear the sock puppets and make them bounce to the rhythm while singing the song. This was a FAVORITE of ours! Baa baa black sheep, have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir three bags full. One for the master and one for the dame. And one for the little boy who lives down the lane. 2) Rockabye Baby: Fill a bin with a few dolls and stuffed animals. Have your child choose one to rock while singing this song. When you sing "fall" have your child drop to the ground and back up to finish the song. My almost three loved this song, but my one lost interest. Draw a new doll or animal from the bin and sing the song again. Rockabye baby in the tree top, When the wind blows the cradle will rock.
