Letter X: X-Ray Bones Craft, Puffy Bone Soap (Day 3)

We reviewed a few of our X-Ray pictures and books today, before the following activities:

1) X-Ray Bone Craft from Storytime Katie: I love that this craft includes our letter we're learning this week! It was simple to make. Easton helped me glue two strips of black paper onto our project to make a letter X. I cut out a bunch of bones, but Easton put the glue on the bones and put them on his paper all by himself.

2) Puffy Bone Soap: If you haven't tried microwaving Ivory Soap, make some time to try it! Easton loved watching the reaction and couldn't wait to touch and play with the soap. Look at what happens when you microwave Ivory Soap (top left & right). After some playing time, Easton was ready to make our bone soap molds. Mix water in little by little until the soap JUST comes together into little balls - it will look like pie dough crust. Add food coloring if desired. Push the soap into the bone molds and wait until the bone soap dries.
