Letter V: Vegetable Letter Garden, Songs, Handprint Art (Vulture), Booklist

Vegetable Letter Garden : This was a fun way to review the alphabet as a whole! I had dirt (which I found at the Dollar Store) left over from our underground sensory bin last week. Click the link for a detailed  tutorial  from no time for flashcards . Here's what you need for this activity: Plastic Container (I bought ours at Walmart) Dirt  Orange Pool Noodle (dollar store) - Carrot Body Green Ribbon (dollar store) - Carrot Leaves Permanent Marker - to write the letters  Toy Garden Set Letter V Songs : Wow, we loved all of the  Letter V Songs  from the measured mom blog! Letter U: Flashlight Letter Hunt, Songs, Handprint Art (Unicorn), U Craft, Booklist

Flashlight Letter Hunt : Easton LOVED this activity. While he was playing in the living room, I put Alphabet Stickers (bought at the dollar store) all around his room. I gave him a flashlight and he went into his dark room and was so excited to find each letter. I had him identify the letter after finding one. The picture below isn't great, but you get the idea. Letter U Songs : Next we learned a few new Letter U Songs from the measured mom blog (picture below). Our favorites were: Up the Hill (Easton's favorite!), The People on the Bus, Up to the Ceiling, and The Lion and the Unicorn. Letter U Handprint Art (Unicorn) : Next, we made a Handprint Unicorn. We stamped Easton's hand in green paint (with sparkles added) and stamped them on a piece of white paper. When the paint dried, we glued on a unicorn horn and tail. U Push-Pin Craft : To reinforce the Letter U, I wrote a block letter U on a piece of paper and had Easton poke holes with a Push Pin (fine moto...
